Duende Catamaran Interior – Carbon Ocean Yachts

Duende shows off her bold reverse bows and sheer line.

NYB teamed up with Carbon Ocean Yachts this past year to engineer and build the interior for the stunning SDK Structures/Dirk Kramers-designed 50’ high-performance cruising catamaran Duende, winner of Best Sailboat at this year’s Newport International Boat Show. Graceful curves and super light weight was the design brief for the interior, which NYB achieved with a highly engineered Tricel panel and Vtec veneer construction, leading to a galley cabinetry weight of only 110 pounds (below). Read more

Wisp Featured Components – Artisan Boatworks’ Stephens Waring 39

Newport Yacht Builders was honored to work with the team at Artisan Boatworks, contributing to the build of the 39-foot Wisp—the helm pedestal, cockpit table (shown below), saloon table, and companionway stairs. The custom design is by Stephens Waring.
